Senior Kate Leakey, a Swarthmore College commit, led the way with high-level execution and composure on the court. Elaine Harrison was on point with her sets leading Senior Brooklyn Vasquez hit well throughout the game aswell. Piper Poage, Julyana Harris, and Chloe Frizzell brought the heat with phenomenal hitting, while seniors Samantha Cortez and Izzy Orozco powered through an impressive serving run that the Knights simply could not return. Bailey Santos did a phenomenal job covering the ground and making sure nothing gets past her.
Impact
The win evened Anderson’s record at 10-10 and snapped McCallum’s six-game home winning streak, dropping the Knights to 20-9. Anderson showed grit, skill, and teamwork in a match that kept fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish. The Trojans will take on Ann Richards on Tuesday, September 23.
