After throwing for a school record 7 touchdowns and running for one more, quarterback Max Gerlich was named KVUE’s player of the week. Gerlich led the high octane Trojan offense to a huge win in Taco Shack Bowl XXIII and was huge in moving the ball down the field with both his legs and his arm for Coach Hatcher’s team.

A UTSA commit, Max will look to improve upon his fabulous start to the season in this weeks game on the road against Elgin. His 293 yards of passing and 132 yards of rushing showed his dual threat ability and power as he was the Austin Area’s best player this week.
