Soccer Player Olivia Iles is a “Who’s Who” Recipient

Every year, seniors have the opportunity to win a “Who’s Who” award, an incredible honor that demonstrates their hard work and the positive impact they have had throughout high school. Out of over 500 students, between 10 and 12 are selected for this title, and this year, varsity soccer player Olivia Iles has the privilege of being a “Who’s Who” recipient.

To be eligible for this award, seniors must submit a stand-out application that staff members will later review. Students must be well-respected, well-rounded, and well-known to have a chance at being recognized, and Olivia Iles fits into all of these categories. As an Anderson Trojan, she has joined countless clubs and worked her way through the ranks to lead those organizations. Iles makes a point to dabble in a little bit of everything, one of many things that made her stand out during voting.

In addition, Olivia has gotten to know her teachers on a more personal level and kept up communication with them. This shows how much she values her education and relationships with the staff in general, another factor that contributed to her being voted for this honor.

Finally, Iles is an accomplished soccer player and has earned many titles as a Lady Trojan. She made first-team all-district and academic all-district her sophomore year. She has continued that trend throughout high school, receiving the same awards as an upperclassman. This season, Olivia made academic all-state with the eight other varsity seniors in addition to her other athletic honors.

Iles expressed her gratitude “that [her] teachers have recognized all the hard work [she] has put in over the years.” “Who’s Who” is a tremendous accomplishment, and Olivia “is proud of [herself] that she was able to stand out” as a senior. She plans to continue her education at the University of Georgia in the fall.
