Fall Signing Day 2024: Ten Anderson Athletes Signing

Ten Anderson seniors will sign to their colleges today at 12:45 in the large gym, taking another step in furthering their academic and athletic careers. The years of youth and high school sports culminate in this moment, an emotional day for athletes, coaches, and parents alike.

Parker Duncan will sign to play volleyball at Arkansas, a great SEC program, after an illustrious high school career. Duncan was the district MVP this past season, and she helped lead the volleyball team to a bi-district championship and the second round of the playoffs. As a senior, Parker ranked 3rd in the Austin area in kills with 607 and 4th in aces with 75. She has over 1200 career kills and was a force on the court for the Trojans over the past few seasons.

Olivia Andrus will sign with UNC-Charlotte Lacrosse ahead of her senior season with the Trojans. A state champion with Anderson and a former all-district selection, she’s poised for an even better senior campaign as a midfielder for Coach Ross and Anderson Girls Lax. Andrus is an all-around superstar on the field, as she scored 26 goals for the Trojans last season while also recording 43 draw controls, scooping up 17 ground balls, and forcing 9 turnovers.

Lily Tisdale is a senior at Anderson, but she doesn’t compete for any Trojan teams. Instead, she’s a gymnast at Crenshaw’s competing nationally against other top gymnasts. She’s signing with the Arizona Wildcats to continue her gymnastics career after a fantastic youth career that saw her earn Level 10 status and qualify for Nationals in both 2022 and ’23.

Hadley Dodson swims for Anderson and has had a decorated 4 year career with the Trojans. She’s signing with Colorado State University and will be headed to the centennial state next fall.

Gus Begert is a Dartmouth baseball commit and will make his Ivy League path official today ahead of his final season as a Trojan. Begert is a two sport athlete for Anderson, playing both varsity football and baseball, while also excelling in the classroom. Begert plays right field for Coach Matthews and Anderson baseball, and is poised to start for a 4th straight season this spring.

Faith Murphy was a runner up at state in the 400 last spring, and along with Parker is also signing with the Arkansas Razorbacks. She still has her senior track season ahead and in 5A has a very good shot to take home a gold medal this spring.

Cal Meroney is the Men’s Lacrosse goalie for the Trojans and is committed to SCAD to continue his athletic and academic career. Catch him on the field for one more season this spring!

Brooke Fuller is the star of the girls’ basketball team and was a 2nd team All-District selection last winter. She’s been on fire to start the season with a number of big performances including a 17 point, 7 rebound outing to defeat Connelly and a 16 point game to beat Dripping Springs. She’s signing with Dakota State where she will continue to be a Trojan.

Fletcher Gratham will continue rowing next fall at Hobart William Smith after rowing with TRC in Austin.

Finally, Sylvan Block, who serves as the girls’ volleyball manager, but also plays club volleyball for AJV boys, is signing with the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy.

Make sure to come out and support these Trojan athletes during lunch today as they celebrate the furthering of their athletic careers!
