WEATHER RESCHEDULE: New Times For Baseball + Softball Games

With the less-than-ideal weather in Austin today, it’s no surprise that outdoor sports have been canceled. With flooded fields and poor sky conditions, it is unsafe for both the athletes and fans. So how does this inclement weather affect Anderson’s sports?

Varsity baseball’s game against Lake Travis has been moved to tomorrow night (Friday) at 5 pm. The Trojans will be facing the Cavaliers at Lake Travis HS, working hard to come out with the win. However, there’s more rain in Friday’s forecast, and it will be chilly again. There are no promises that this rescheduled game will be played tomorrow either since the fields will likely still be soaked and the conditions poor.

Varsity softball’s game against Akins has been changed to Monday at 6 pm, where they will play on Butler Field. This reschedule is significant for the Lady Trojans because they will not have a practice day between their game against the Eagles and their game against Westlake on Tuesday. The team must dial in and apply key takeaways from the Akins match-up to the game the following night.

Although the weather is unsuitable for sports, that will not stop the Anderson teams from playing, just at a different time than initially planned. Since school is off tomorrow, come out and support baseball versus the Cavaliers and show up Monday night for the Lady Trojans as they take on Akins!
